"You a gambler Ma'am?" I ask, wondering how a ghost holds cards.

"We all are, apparently", I reply. "Else we wouldn't be here doing...whatever it is we're doing. I wasn't really listening."
127
"Could always ask them if we can join", I suggest hopefully.
128
Skeletons are people too, buddy.
129
I wave back with a smile.

"Should've come down here ages ago", I say to nobody in particular.
130
"The exit to the right looks clear", I say, instinctively taking up position on the right flank, and uncoiling my whip. "Forward sounds more interesting, though."

Also, Duergar? Revenant Dwarves?
132
[I'll peer down the first side corridor when we reach it. Perception: 12 + 7 = 19]
133
And the ghost... I'd really like to know more about her.

[perception 5 + 12 = 17]

[You notice what appears to be a small crystal, roughly in the shape of an inverted triangle, on a chain around her neck. You can just make out subtle etchings on her armour and shield; the same triangular shape features prominently.]
134
I wander over to Creon and crouch down in front of him.

"Aww, who's a good puppy? Is it you? Is it? It is!"

Mid-paragon, yeah. Good level for interesting builds, actually, since that's when many paragon paths have their most useful stuff.

D&D / Re: Apocalyptic Horde Survival Game
Oh, right; what level would we be starting at? I need to generate about a dozen character builds before finally going with something completely different, so I'd better start early.

Likewise. Also, if converting it is a big job, I'm up for trying it in 5e.

"Good luck and godsspeed," the general says, fixing them with a weighty look.  "And - thank you."

"You're welcome!" I reply, crossing the floor to join the rest of the group as they leave. "And don't worry. I shouldn't think you'll be deprived of my company for too long."

[You see this:

OK, not really. You see a woman of about 5' 10", with long red hair and green eyes. She's wearing a heavy suit of bluish-silver armour, and has a matching shield strapped to one arm. A thin black whip is coiled at her belt.

Oh, yes, she's also quite clearly translucent, and you can't quite tell whether her feet ever actually touch the ground. But other than that, she seems perfectly normal.]
140
I forget.  Do all elves in 4E trance or is that just Eladrin?  All 5e elves do not sleep, but meditate.

Just Eladrin and Drow in 4e, I believe.
141
Finally. I was beginning to think I'd have to steal every teaspoon in the Fort and hide them under his mattress. Again.

"Wait, what?", I call out from the darkness. "Why would you do that? I thought we were friends!"

The book pauses in mid-air for a moment, as if considering a reply. Upon the General's remark, it descends and gently settles on his head like a hat. No other response is forthcoming.

[Although the more perceptive might hear faint laughter coming from the corner of the room, just for a moment.]
143
The book rises into the air once more, this time opening itself to a page near the middle, facing down. It starts flapping around the room like a bird, keeping just out of the General's reach.
144
For no apparent reason, a book lifts off the shelf and glides slowly across the room.

I'm going with a defender myself.
