Why is the moose getting dressed for dinner? It is dinner.

Yes, but it is a formal dinner.

So does the referendum carry a legal mandate or is it guidance for Parliament?

Technically it's only advisory, but I can't see the government going against it.

"That's...complicated," I reply. "Even I don't understand it all. I'm not physically bound to it; there doesn't seem to be anything stopping me from going as far away as I like. I just don't like to. It's important I stay close to it."

Translation:  the rules don't specify, and the DM decided that being too specific about how far a PC can separate from another PC would be an unnecessary pain in the ass, lol

I had to create rules for how this works for another game.

Reminds me of fetters from Wraith: the Oblivion.

It's a bit experimental.  But I figured Martin can be relied upon to follow the spirit of the rules.

SEE WHAT I DID THERE

Haven't forgotten.  I have a house full of teens because my son arranged a two-day over night game session for a D&D game he is GMing.  Well, he and I both, because he has so many players we had to split them into two teams.

Incidentally, I am currently in hospital; it has wifi and I have my laptop so I can check in, but I'm pretty tired a lot of the time.

Yo.  Are you mending well?  The quietude is concerning.

Whoops, sorry!  Not sure yet about mending or not, but I am alive (and potentially going home tomorrow); my blood counts have been misbehaving, so we're just waiting on them to stabilise.

Good to know you still have at least 1 HP.

I am home!  And I have had three units of blood, so I am basically a VAMPIRE.

Okay, you lot need to decide where you're going next, so I can implement Phase Whatever This Is Now.  Do you want some concrete options to choose from, or do you feel like you know what your PCs will do next just based on the story so far?

I think I know what Karlach will do, yeah.

Aden and I are going to write Val and Karlach talking some during their turn on watch together; anyone else wanting to do something similar on their watches before we do?

Okay, Aden got his schedule confused, so we're going to do the talking another time.
